I’ve purchased two of these power supplies in the last two months. The first was to replace a 10 year old power supply that died in a five year old pc build. I bought a second for a new 4K rig I built once GPUs became available. They are fully modular and have no problem power intel i5 unlocked CPU and an RTX 3080 three plug GPU.

I absolutely love this power supply, it's quiet, runs all my equipment no problems or overloads and it was absolutely easy to install.

Quick PSA for stupid first-time modular PSU users like me: Clip in cables before you install it. I made the mistake of installing it before putting the cables in, and I had to take it out and put it back in. Had minor coil whine for the first day or so of use, but that went away, and it runs basically silent. Besides that, no issues running my 3080, I7-11700 system.

I decided to go with the Corsair RM850x after seeing the positive reviews for Corsair power source units. I also had some friends recommend them due to longevity and trustworthiness. The fully modular feature is nice in preventing unneeded cables floating around in my tower. The 850 watts is also perfect for upgrading when I decide to switch out my GPU in the future. I haven't noticed any noise thus far, and after about a month, everything is running strong. Set-up and directions, even for a first time builder, were relatively painless with some time and research.I think it's important to remember to not cheap out on your PSU. This thing powers every other component, meaning it could completely ruin every other component if its some unreliable brand. So stick with someone like Corsair to give you that peace of mind, and definitely research what wattage will work best for your set-up + potential future upgrades down the road.

Easy to install and plenty of power (850w) for my i7 12k, 3080 12gb, 32gb, msi mobo, lian li aio, and 10 lian li fan setup. Had all necessary plug ins and then some!

One of the better options for power suppliers for a reasonable price. Cables are easy to work with too which makes the build generally a breeze.

This is the first PSU I ever bought for a PC, and first time installing one in a new case to move my build over from an old. My old PSU was one that came with my pre-built PC which was 500w. It started making some grinding and humming noises for a while and I also upgraded my cooling method for my CPU. I originally had a Thermalake CPU Cooler which I hated because it always got so hot. But I had to upgrade my PSU because my old one was not giving enough power. My RGB Fans and my Liquid Cooler RGB Lights would either dim or turn completely off and sometimes the PSU would get even louder like it was working a lot harder to keep the power flowing which caused a lot of performance issues. I. Love. Everything about this PSU, it's so much quieter, my computer is performing like new again, and all of my lights are staying on with no issue. I took online advice and made sure not to go cheap with this kind of thing because one cheap psu, if it's bad, it can go from cheap to expensive if you know what I mean. Your entire PC can fry which would make every component unsalvagable which means replacing the entire thing! My old PSU has been making the noises at least for over a year, I didn't think anything of it. I kept up with cleaning and maintaining it every 3 to 6 months to make sure dust never accumulated enough to cause issues. I'm still fairly new to this PC building thing but as far as my experience with this PSU so far, it's great, it's quiet, and it made my pc performance so much better. Take the advice like I did, don't go cheap with something like this. You won't regret it. The heart of your pc deserves the best for its lifespan.

Ever since Enlight became harder (then impossible) to source modern power supplies I've been using Corsair with no issues and this is no exception. I _never_ have problems with any of them, be it with voltage quality/stability, long term durability, noise levels or anything. This is the largest one I've gotten yet, and it's no different than the 650/750/850s etc I've used in the past.Modular cables (a main attraction for me) are great as usual, but be warned that they are NOT the same as all models of Corsair modular supplies. My only complaint is that this one, for some reason, is oriented the opposite of all previous supplys with the fan facing up into the case with no way to flip it... This is an issue for me as I use a specific model, also Corsair, computer case for all of my builds (I picked up a dozen years back on clearance when the local Tiger Direct closed) uses a bottom intake and filter system for the power supply. This renders it effectively useless of course. It's a minor inconvenience as I'm sure that's probably only a small percentage of cases that have that versus not, but it's still sort of irritating as I've *never* seem another supply oriented that way.Never the less, top notch.

Easy to install and zero fan spin and noise under normal load. You may wonder why the fan does not spin all the time like most of the PSUs and that's because it's by design with new technology. The fittings of each modular cable is nice and firm. Packaging is well done with all the required cables and ties in a bag. I have this installed in my BeQuiet case powering my ASUS Rog Strix X-570-e gaming motherboard having 32GB RAM, a fanless GPU that uses big heatsink, Bluray player and couple of SSDs. My whole setup is noiseless unlike my previous build that's 13 years old and having noisy fans. Not a gamer, and using it for daily stuff and streaming. Rock solid PSU giving plenty of power. Don't try switching cables with other PSU brands because you will have voltage issues, etc. Stick to brand specific cables. Good luck!

Higher end power supplies are not like regular power supplies. Usually these go in gaming rigs and the nice thing about these is the design. Only use the cables you need and enjoy the quiet operation and the built-in protections. While this power supply provides a whopping 850 watts, You might still have to do some home work and make sure it will provide the power you need for the individual branches, whether that's PCI Express, CPU, Mobo, Storage devices, USB, SATA, etc. Those different areas may require 12, 5, or 3 volts in + or minus variations. Like all power supplies, each is limited to how many watts of power it can supply for each need. So be sure to check your requirements. That said, this power supply met my needs perfectly and I highly recommend it.
